Saint Gorge's day

Saint Gorge's day is a celebration in Catalonia. People celebrate it because Saint Gorge rescued a princess who was imprisoned by a dragon (he also killed the dragon) in this day.

People celebrate Saint Gorge's day in the 23rd of April. In this celebration people give roses to their friends and they also buy books (in this day book shops have really good offers).

I like this celebration because i like a lot to read and buy books.

Banyoles

Hello! Today, I'am going to talk about my town Banyoles Banyoles is a town in the north east of catalonia (close to Barcelona). This town is famous because there is a lake in it and tourists can go fishing, swiming or kayaking in the lake. And there are many kayaking competitions in the lake. This town is also famous because it has a really good kayaking and rowing sports club (they even won medals in the olympics!).In my town we have many old but betiful buildings in the city square. We have two theaters and a really good science museum and also an archaeological museum. There are pretty good bread bakeries in Banyoles and the meat is delicious. And if you are lucky you may get to eat in "les cols" a really expensive restaurant close to Banyoles, if not you hang around in bars like "hop-hop" or "la taverna de l'smuag", you can also buy pizzas or kebabs in some shops (wich are also tasty). Banyoles is very close to the cities of Girona, Olot and Barcelona, so if you are staying in Banyoles you can visit those cities too.
